Echzell and surroundings:
Echzell is a municipality in the Wetteraukreis in Hesse. It has about 6000 inhabitants living in 5 districts. Bisses is the second smallest with about 800 inhabitants. We have five roads in the village, our road ends directly in the forest with many paths. In the forest there are ponds and a nice place, which is perfect for a picnic. The Limes leads directly through our village, the Limes trail also. In our region there are 5 hikes and 1 themed trail to choose from. Also, the Vogelsberg, with the baptismal font and the Hoherodskopf, the summer as well as winter is attractive, in the immediate vicinity. The Nidda Reservoir is a popular destination for some recreational activities. Sailing, rowing or pedal boating, swimming and surfing are possible here. Of course you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is also a great loop around the lake.
Directly in Echzell, about 1 km away, there are two supermarkets, bakers, butchers, newspaper shop, hairdressers, bank and savings bank, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, kebab shops, a museum .... General practitioners and also a dentist.
Echzell is located between Wölfersheim, Reichelsheim, Florstadt and Nidda. Not far from us, our district town Friedberg. Here you will find everything a city should have to offer. The spa town of Bad Nauheim borders directly on Friedberg. There is also a lot to see here. A wonderful spa park, with old trees and a lake, with boat rentals, invite you to linger longer. The charm of Bad Nauheim is simply inspiring. The outstanding Max Plank Institute, the well-known Kerckhoff Clinic are worth mentioning here. The Taunus begins above Bad Nauheim. Here, for example, the Romans Kastel Saalburg and the open-air museum Hessenpark mentioned or the Eschbacher cliffs in Usingen (up to 12m high rock formation) for climbing. And of course the Feldberg, also for winter sports.
About the highway 45, ramp Wölfersheim, you can reach eg Giessen (7 largest city in Hesse), Wetzlar or Marburg in the one and Altenstadt, Bruchköbel, Hanau, Frankfurt a. M .., Gründau, Wächtersbach in the other direction, in no time.
